MieProperties is committed to making mieproperties.co.uk usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities.
Conformance Status
This website runs on WordPress with the Astra theme, using standard WordPress block-editor markup throughout. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA, the widely recognised accessibility standard. This is a target we are working towards, not a certified conformance claim — a full accessibility audit has not yet been carried out.
What We’ve Done
- Site-wide HTTPS enforced
- Modern, actively-maintained theme (Astra) in place of a long-abandoned one
- Standard semantic HTML from WordPress’s block editor, rather than hand-built markup
Known Limitations
- No formal accessibility audit has been conducted
- Some linked PDF documents (policies, tenant guides) may not be fully accessible to screen readers
- Older images on the site may be missing descriptive alt text
We’re aware these are gaps, not finished work, and will address them over time.

If you find any part of this website difficult to use because of a disability, please contact us at complaints@mieproperties.co.uk. We’ll do our best to respond promptly and provide the information you need in an alternative format if possible.
Enforcement
MieProperties is a private, self-managing landlord and is not currently subject to the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018, which apply to public sector organisations. We follow this standard voluntarily as good practice.
